Privacy Policy
Pascual Labs ("we", "our", "us") builds browser extensions and the website at browser-tools.app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, what we don't, and how our extensions handle the content you encounter while using them.
The short version. We don't collect or sell your messages, chats, videos, visited URLs, or browsing history. Optional Pascual Labs accounts use an email address only for sign-in, purchase restoration, and subscription access. Website analytics is not used to inspect extension content or build advertising profiles.
1. What our extensions do with your data
Our translation extensions (Discord Auto Translator and the upcoming Telegram, WhatsApp, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, LinkedIn and YouTube Translators) read the messages displayed on the page so they can be translated and shown back to you in your language.
For each message:
- The text of that message is sent over HTTPS to the translation provider you select (Google Translate or DeepL).
- The translated text is returned and displayed inline.
- Neither the original nor the translated text is stored by Pascual Labs.
Pascual AnyDub sends the audio track of the currently playing video to a dubbing service to generate the translated voice, which is then streamed back into your browser. The original video and the generated dub are not retained by us.
GPT Reply for X sends the text of the tweet you click "reply" on to an AI provider to generate a draft. The tweet text and the generated draft are not retained.
DOS Game Hub runs classic DOS games entirely within your browser using DOSBox WebAssembly emulation. It makes zero network requests during gameplay. No game data, no gameplay data, and no user data of any kind is collected, sent, or stored. The extension operates 100% offline after installation.
Obsidian AdBlocker performs ad blocking, cookie-banner handling, distraction control, and social-widget filtering locally. It never sends browsing history, visited URLs, page content, whitelist entries, or custom filter rules to Pascual Labs. Settings are saved in chrome.storage.local on your device. If you choose to sign in for Pro, the extension sends your account token to api.browser-tools.app only to check whether your plan is active.
2. Accounts and purchases
Optional Pascual Labs accounts are passwordless. We store the email address you provide, a random session token, and the products and plans attached to that email. A six-digit sign-in code is temporarily stored for up to ten minutes. This information is used only to authenticate you, restore purchases, provide paid features, and prevent abuse.
Paddle processes checkout, tax, invoices, refunds, and subscription management as our Merchant of Record. Pascual Labs receives purchase identifiers, product and price identifiers, subscription status, Paddle customer identifiers, and the checkout email needed to provision access. We do not receive or store full card details.
3. Third-party providers
Because translation, dubbing and AI generation are computationally expensive, our extensions use established third-party providers to perform the actual work. Depending on the extension and your settings, this may include Google Cloud Translation, DeepL, OpenAI, or comparable services.
When data is sent to these providers it is subject to their own privacy practices. We choose providers that do not retain customer content for training and we send only what is strictly required for the request.
Account and billing infrastructure may use Paddle for payments, Resend for one-time sign-in emails, Cloudflare Workers for the account API, and Upstash Redis for account, entitlement, and session records.
4. What we do not collect
- We do not require an account for the free features of Obsidian AdBlocker.
- We do not track your browsing history.
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
- We do not log your chats, messages, DMs or video content.
5. Local storage on your device
Our extensions store a small amount of data locally in your browser to remember your preferences — your selected target language, your preferred translation engine, your light/dark theme. This data never leaves your device.
6. The browser-tools.app website
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and understand which website pages are useful. Google Analytics may use cookies and collect page-view, device, browser, approximate-location, and interaction data. Website analytics does not include messages, chats, videos, URLs visited outside browser-tools.app, or other content processed by our extensions. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Children
Our extensions and website are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy we will change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
