Auto-Translation

Why automatic is better.

Zero clicks per message

Manual translators require clicking "Translate" on every single post or message. Reddit Translator does it the moment content appears on screen — you never have to think about it.

👁

Reads like native

Because every posts and nested comment threads is already translated when your eye lands on it, the experience feels like using a platform in your own language — not like using a workaround.

🕐

Keeps up with live content

New messages in Reddit arrive fast. Auto-translation keeps pace — messages are translated the instant they appear, even in high-speed group chats or live feeds.

Features

Built for Reddit, end to end.

📖

Post titles & body

Post headlines and body text translate as you browse — on the feed, in a subreddit, or on the full post page.

🗣

Full comment trees

Reddit's deep nested comment threads translate comment by comment, preserving indentation. No collapsed threads break the layout.

🌎

Any subreddit

Works globally — language-specific subreddits, international communities, translated without switching tabs or apps.

🧠

Smart Mode

Detects the language of each individual comment. English comments in a Japanese subreddit? Only the Japanese ones get translated.

🎯

Old & New Reddit

Works on both old.reddit.com and new Reddit. Same translation experience regardless of which interface you prefer.

🔒

Lightweight & private

Manifest V3, minimal permissions. Reddit comment text is translated in-flight and never stored by the extension.

How it works

Up and running in thirty seconds.

01

Add the extension

Install from the Chrome Web Store with one click. No account, no setup wizard, no email.

02

Open Reddit

Head to Reddit as usual. The extension activates automatically — nothing to configure.

03

Read in your language

Every incoming message translates inline the moment it appears. Original stays one tap away.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does it translate inside posts or just titles?

Both. Post titles on the feed and the full body text when you open a post are translated. Comment threads are also fully covered.

Does it work on Old Reddit?

Yes. Both old.reddit.com and the new Reddit interface (reddit.com) are supported. The translation experience is identical on both.

Is Reddit Translator free?

Yes. Every feature is currently free. A Pro tier with higher daily limits is planned for later this year.

What happens to deeply nested comments?

Each comment translates independently, regardless of nesting depth. The indentation structure is preserved so threads remain readable.

Is this an official Reddit product?

No. Reddit Translator is built by Pascual Labs and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Reddit, Inc.
